"Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring" Essay rewriting

In the film, the young monk plays with small creatures by hanging rocks with them. The old monk sees it and does the same thing to the boy. The next day, the old monk makes the boy to free the creatures that he played with. Unfortunately, the fish and the snake already lost their lives.
The monk did this to teach the boy some lessons. The most important lesson is that every living thing is valuable. Because of the boy's deeds, two innocent living creatures lost their lives. The boy did not intend to kill the creatures, but his deeds were fatal to the creatures.
The second lesson is that one has to think about others carefully. The boy did it for fun. However, to the fish and the snake, it was very painful and led them to deaths. If the boy thought on the behalf of the creatures, he wouldn't have done that. In order to teach this lesson, the old monk tied a heavy stone on the back of the boy. The boy realized that it is very painful and heavy. When he faced the dead body of the snake, he started to cry.
The learning process used by the old monk is a very popular way. My parents usually use this process to correct my misbehaviors. They keep telling me to think of the other side. For example, if I behaved in a selfish way towards my sister, my parents behaved in a same way to me to teach me a lesson. After going through this learning process several times. I was able to consider other people's situations and behave wisely. I think that this way is very effective, because it made me realize what I did wrong by myself. It's not just being punished for what I did. They don't talk about it, but make me find out by myself.
People use several ways to teach a lesson. They sometimes just talk or simply punish physically to teach a lesson. Every way has its effectiveness, but there are also negative effects. The way that the monk used was a wise and effective way. There is a possibility that the boy got some mental shock, but it made the boy truly feel that he did something wrong. After this experience, I expect that the boy would never do this kind of actions again.
